On April 20, 2011, Alupol Packaging S.A. signed the contract for the delivery of a 9-layer, high barrier film, blowing-line machine. Delivery is scheduled for November 2011 to Alupol's site in Tychy.
This purchase is part of the investment covered by the new permit for extended business activity in the Katowice economic zone.

The new machine will enable the introduction of our new high barrier films from HBF-9™ family. In addition to the commercial advantages, the  film promises to reduce the mass of packaging material in the environment. It also reduces energy consumption in the manufacturing process by eliminating at least one lamination operation; replacing 3 and 4-layer laminates with a single 2-layer laminate. Additionally, the sophisticated substrates used in the extrusion of the melt-blown layers allows for a significant reduction in the minimum temperature necessary to obtain the correct weld, leading to reduced energy requirements in the customer's packaging operation.
