Alupol Packaging for the Natural Environment
HBF9™ - 9-layer high barrier film
Alupol Packaging has developed packaging for production which minimalizes the impact on the natural environment. One of these innovative technologies is a 2-layer laminate which uses our high barrier HBF9™ film. This type of laminate can be converted to other laminates, for example PET/Al/PE, PET/PETmet/PE and PETmet/PE, which can reduce the necessary quantity by 30-50 percent. This results in a 40 percent average reduction of waste for our customers. In addition, our new sophisticated sealing layer can save our clients up to 20 percent in energy cost for the sealing production process. Alupol Packaging contributes to environmental safety because less energy is used for a single lamination process, in contrast to the former double lamination process.

Paper-based laminates
Currently the most popular packaging on the market is biodegradable. Alupol Packaging has the most modern technology, which allows for larger production capacity due to our top of the line machine, the Extruder Tandem. Laminates produced on this machine are ecologically friendly because they are paper-based. Our new paper-based laminates (Pap/PE/Al/PE) have reduced our use of plastic-based laminates (PET/Al/PE) to the extent of 50 percent less in non-biodegradable waste.
