Alupol Packaging is aware of the ecological market trends for packaging and has reduced the weight of its laminates while maintaining their high barrier properties.
We have started the production of HBF9™ film at our factory in Tychy. This investment allows us to use the most innovative technology possible to produce film which creates a barrier against oxygen and steam, and has properties that allow for use in lamination and printing. Our modern laboratory enables us to quickly research the properties of our films.
For example, laminate type PET/PETmet/PE with a weight of about 100g/m2 and consisting of 3 layers has been replaced by 2 layer HBF9™ lamination film with a weight of about 60g/m2. Using our new laminate lowers the weight of our packaging by about 40% and reduces the number of lamination production processes which reduces the amount of energy we use.
Almost all of our clients are interested in lowering the weight of their packaging by using HBF9™ film, including large businesses and local companies.
An additional use for HBF9™ is use as a mono-film or laminate to pack chilled products like cheese, fish, cured meat, fresh meat, and ready meals (dumplings, egg rolls etc.) is packaging for MAP (modified atmosphere packaging) and thermo-forming TFFS (thermo-form fill seal).
Thick films for thermo-forming and cover laminates have perfect barrier properties which can keep products fresh for the optimal time period. Our cover laminates have an anti-moisture feature and the sealing layer can be designed to the customers’ satisfaction.
